Hello lovely brides and grooms to be, we hope that you are enjoying all the planning for your big day and it is not too stressful. Do you know the two things that guests are most likely to remember about a wedding? The food and the entertainment!

StarTurn Entertainment Agency will be at the London Wedding Show on 19 February, accompanied by some of its luscious artistes, who are delighted to be entertaining you during the day. The StarTurn team will be on hand to answer any burning wedding entertainment questions you may have and to help you with wedding entertainment ideas.

StarTurn has over 60 fabulous artistes and would love to bring them all but sadly we can't so below is a little taster of some of our artistes that will be joining us. We hope that they will demonstrate how StarTurn might help to make your good time a great time!

SONGS TO MAKE YOUR DAY

One of our favourite singers, the gorgeous Gary Priestly, who has a fabulous voice (5 octaves for the musical amongst you!) and is just about the nicest person you would ever hope to meet. His performance and commitment to every wedding superb - whether he is singing for a small group or 5,000  people!

We love his interpretations of the great Michael Buble and rat pack singers, but it is worth noting that Gary is equally at home singing more contemporary songs too.  His Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol will have you in tears of emotion and his Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon will have your guests throwing some great shapes on the dance floor - Gary is one versatile performer!

WANT TO HAVE SOMETHING MUSICALLY DIFFERENT FOR YOUR WEDDING?

Whether it is a civil ceremony or a church wedding,  it is a nice touch to entertain your guests with some lovely music before you and the groom arrive and to have a special piece of music played as you enter the ceremony room or church, when you sign the register, and again when you exit the ceremony.  Music during the reception, before the wedding breakfast, is a nice touch too as it creates a great atmosphere whilst your guests mingle.

Finding one artiste who can fulfill each of these stages, and keep your costs down, can be a challenge.  Bet you haven't seen this before: The Mallard Oboe Trio. These ladies are the tops and are very portable so can move between rooms or from the church to the reception venue.  Also, particularly for civil ceremonies, three oboes can be made to sound strangely like an organ!

But nothing beats hearing the sound - the piece in the video below, Gabriel's Oboe, from the film The Mission, brought a tear to our eyes when we filmed it in rehearsal for wedding entrance music last summer - it is beautifully played by Sue.

A LUCKY CHIMNEY SWEEP

Tradition states that is it lucky to have a chimney sweep at a wedding. Considered to be one of the most innovative and professional human, living statues StarTurn brings you Mechanical Fracture.  You can now join the growing list of celebrities and have your very own chimney sweep statue at your wedding! He'll make an impact and keep the wedding buzzing and have people talking about it for ages afterwards!

HOW TO KEEP GUESTS ENTERTAINED DURING THE PHOTOS AND RECEPTION

You've probably seen lots of magicians at weddings but we'd be surprised if you'd seen a hand-writing analyst! People are always fascinated to hear about what makes them tick, whether it is from fortune tellers or tarot card readers but did you know your handwriting is your frozen body language?  Write a few words for Adam at the show and hear what he can tell about you! Your wedding guests would be enthralled.

FACE PAINTING AND AIR BRUSH TATTOOING - NOT JUST FOR THE CHILDREN!

Keeping youngsters amused during the reception takes some doing. As well as the traditional type of face painting we’ve grown used to over the years, children and teenagers will love football logos, gothic art and girly sparkles. And for those never brave enough to have permanent marking, they'll love the shoulder, back or ankle air-brush tattoos – there are hundreds of designs to choose from - all safe, non toxic and waterproof. Strawberry Studio Art has something for everyone and so for the bride....how about one of these?
